Mince Pies

Todays the day of the great mince pie scam.....

The story goes like this:

In the weeks running up to Christmas at work we all try and make something or bring something in.
So usualy we end up with one of Frankies Xmas puds (which are LUSH!) Mr Pete brings in an Italian Panatonne (also LUSH!) The boss sometimes makes something.........and the bosses son........ said he'd make cheese straws once but his dad ended up buying them for him.

So anyway.....my first year (cos I've been there nearly 5 now) I made some mince pies....which were fine and then we all discovered this once monthly Farmers Market >;-) thats in town on the 1st Thursday of every month.

Now it has several bakers who bake fresh bread, cakes etc........they also do mince pies which look and taste remarkably HOME MADE!

To cut a long story short, it was farmers market last Thursday, I brought 12 mince pies and guesse where they're going today!
Add a bit of icing sugar, stick them in a big box, give them a bit of shake and by the time they've traveled to work in my ruck sack they look like I've made them! ;-)

Obviously by the end of today my boss will have found out and I will be looking at the wrong end of a P45 ;-) well maybe not quite that drastic but it would be a serious fall from grace LOL

So here's to the great mince pie scam!
